Paper writing, hiking, and sunsets. My new life at Ecola.

Well, I'm currently sitting in coach house during what usually is my Jesus time (trying to start getting up early and doing this every day-NOT easy. I hate mornings.) But oh man you guys. This first week at Ecola...I can't even find a word to describe it.

I started classes this Monday. Immediately I realized I would have to seriously think about what I believed and why. Currently our class just had to write a paper on Creationism, and it's been so encouraging to see just how much credibility Christianity has. The Creator of this earth is THE intelligent designer, made our priviledged planet just right for us, and has left His fingerprints everywhere. Fun fact: the exact chance of life occuring randomly on our planet is 10 to the 304th power. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want to bet on that number! Just one example of so many things us first years are learning.

As well as go to class, us Ecola students also took a little hike this week to a place called "God's thumb." Needless to say, it was pretty crazy. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves...

Roomie Love! This girl is fantastic. :)

Talk about beautiful.

Then, last night, there was the most INCREDIBLE sunset that I got to share with Hannah  and Rachel...

"Beauty that made this heart adore you, Hope of a life spent with You. Here I am to Worship."

This song playing over the speakers right now is all too appropriate.
Here I am to Worsip. That's why I'm here. It's been easy to get distracted this first week, with relationships, studies, and other adventrures. My focus needs to be falling in love with Jesus and making my faith genuine. Because I'm discovering more and more how much growing I have to do.

And the year's just begun.

Booyaaah.
:)
